Public Lecture by John Doyle
What's the Fuss about Quantum?
John Doyle is the Henry B. Silsbee Professor of Physics at Harvard University and the former President of the American Physical Society. Prof. Doyle is a pioneer of laser cooling and trapping of atoms and molecules as well as precision measurements of fundamental physics. He is accredited with one of the most precise measurements of electron electric dipole moment and for laser cooling a polyatomic molecule. In addition, he has made significant contributions to the development of a molecular platform for quantum computing.
In this public lecture, he will tap into his vast experience as both a researcher and a policy maker to provide us with an overview of the state of "Quantum" today.
